Kadazan Dictionary

It is sad that copies of the Kadazan Dictionary are no longer available. And there is no news when the next reprinting will be.

There are people who are still looking for a copy of the dictionary. They could have come last year when the Lotinggi Dampian Books Shop still had them aplenty, sold at the original price. Even people from Kota Kinabalu came to the shop to buy a copy of the dictionary.

The new version of the Kadazan Dictionary have four sections, namely, the Kadazan-English Section, the English-Kadazan Section, the Kadazan-Malay Section and the Illustration Section. The illustration was hand-drawn by the late George Mokunjil. It was work in progress at the time of his passing. Very sad, indeed.

Meanwhile, those interested to learn the Kadazan Language may be able to learn a little bit by following Kadazan Homeland at Twitter.

Announcement will be made online when copies of the Kadazan Dictionary become available. We have not yet heard any word when that may be.

Sometimes, an individual or two may want to part with their personal copy of the Kadazan Dictionary. This is very rare, indeed. Books bought and sold in this way will be sold at a higher price.
